I stayed at 2 low budget "Fleabag" motels in Nevada during my Burning Man vacation. Both priced at about $40. If you have to stay at a motel in Wells and you're on a budget, I would recommend this motel. HOWEVER, I would remind the motel owner the reason she had tiny flies in the tub was because the tub WASN'T CLEAN!
This is a no frills motel that is older like almost all of them in Wells, but it has been well kept by the owner. She is a very nice lady and if we have the chance to stay in Wells again, it will be here.
No phone, shampoo, or alarm clock, so be prepared. But don't be fooled by the outside appearance- it's a worthwhile choice.
The place was otherwise very quiet, sturdily built I might add, moderately comfortable and quite secure. The TV remote didn't work very well but the A/C was awesome. And they have a nice little garden with picnic table. They only take cash so be prepared. Lastly, the window arrangement forces light into the room so bring an eyemask if you like to sleep in.
The owners here are great people
